Your transcripts stay on your computer

Saved conversations live in this browser and nowhere else. They are never sent to us, so nobody at Subtitled can read them, us included. Delete them from Recent sessions whenever you like, or clear your browser data and they are gone.

Audio goes straight to translation

Your browser sends audio directly to Soniox, which transcribes and translates it. It does not pass through our servers. Soniox does not store live audio or transcripts, and never uses them to train its models.

Captions are delivered, not kept

Captions pass through our server on the way to your OBS and are forgotten once delivered. We keep only how long they ran, so we can count your hours.

What we do keep

Your name or email, the hours you have used, what you have paid and when you last streamed. Never what was said.

No analytics, no trackers, no ads. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, and that is the only other service it talks to.

Treat your caption link like a stream key

Anyone holding your overlay link can watch your captions live. If it ends up somewhere it should not, Settings has Rotate room ID, which stops every old link at once.

The person you are talking to

Their voice is translated exactly the way yours is. If you stream conversations with strangers, check the chat site's rules and the recording laws where you live.
